Have More Questions?
Who creates the banner?
Banners must be purchased by the customer and delivered to the DBBA for installation and display. Banners last up to two decades when stored properly, and are an excellent investment. The banners need to be 30” wide and 60” tall including 3” banner arm pockets on the top and bottom, grommets on top and bottom (total of 4 grommets), double sided (each side can be a different graphic), and cut wind slits. Street banners must have mostly pictorial content. Any sponsor identification (no logos) must only cover about 10% of the banner and text should only be limited to basic facts about the event or organization. Utilize heavy duty 13 ounce or higher-grade vinyl for your banner, anything less will rip. Keep your content general so you can reuse them year after year. Choose colors that will pop against the backdrop of downtown avoiding browns, dark greens, teals, etc.
Do the banners need to be made anywhere specific?
You may have your banners made from the production company of your choice. If you need a referral on where to have your banner produced, please ask us. Banner design must be approved by the DBBA and meet all banner requirements. You are responsible for coordinating the artwork, printing and delivery of your banners.
Can you use both banners on a post?
You can design your banners to display on a single post, or you can design two banners that go together, side-by-side. If designing double banners, please provide a graphic/photo of the correct orientation of both banners.
What does the DBBA do with the banners?
Your banners will be professionally installed and removed by DBBA, per your banner agreement. Your banners will be installed on our Downtown Bend banner poles in the banner zones you select. The DBBA is not liable for banners that are stolen or damaged while on display. Your banners will be removed at the end of your display advertising contract and returned to you until you display them again.
